Our Next Daily : Word Works

During word works we focus on spelling and vocabulary work with children.
This allows us time for the following:
*Experimenting with words for learning and practice a spelling pattern
*Memorizing high-frequency words
* Generalizing spelling patterns
*Adding to our knowledge and curiosity of unique and interesting words

This week here in kindergarten we started learning all about apples.

We learned about the parts of an apple.

Here is a fun poem we learned about planting more apple trees.

We finished the week by reading Swimmy and  A Color of his Own.

We enjoyed reading our emergent reader to a friend .

Next we wrote a sentence about who Swimmy met using a capital letter and punctuation. Then we got to paint our fish to match our sentence.

Example: Swimmy met the green fish.

We spent our morning at Emmetsburg Screen Printing. Look at all the fun we had!
